Missouri State Highway Patrol identifies female victims in Nodaway County double homicide

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has released the identities of the double homicide victims found dead at a residence just north of Skidmore, Missouri.

The Patrol reports 32 year old Liberty A. Moore of Maryville, and Karen M. Babcock of Skidmore were identified as the two female victims.

On Saturday, April 18, the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from MSHP’s Division of Drug and Crime Control to investigate the reported double homicide at a residence near the intersection of Missouri Highway 46 and Route PP.

20 year old Keevin J. Maupin of Skidmore was arrested at the scene by the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office as a person of interest.  Nodaway County Prosecuting Attorney, Tina Deiter charged Maupin with two counts of First Degree Murder and two counts of Armed Criminal Action. He is being held in the Nodaway County Jail without bond.
