The No. 30-ranked Northwest Missouri State baseball team capped a three-game sweep of Northeastern State with a 4-0 shutout, reaching the 30-win mark for the 11th time in program history.
The Bearcats improve to 30-13 overall and 20-9 in MIAA play. It’s their first 30-win season in Maryville since back-to-back seasons in 2017 and 2018.
Northwest tallied eight hits, with six going for extra bases. Austin Marsh led the way with a two-run home run in the eighth and a double in the seventh. Jordi Ventura added two doubles in a two-hit performance.
On the mound, three Bearcat pitchers combined for a seven-hit shutout.
