Maryville High School assistant principal Bryan Grow has been chosen to succeed retiring principal Thom Alvarez. Alvarez, who has been at the school for 25 years and served as principal for 12 years, had planned to retire when his daughter graduated next year. However, during a visit to the University of Missouri with his daughter, he explored potential opportunities for himself as well. The transition to a new principal comes as the Alvarez family considers their next steps after Lola Alvarez completes her junior year at Maryville High School.
