The Kansas City Symphony is proposing a new live music venue near the South Plaza area, aiming to be a good partner with the community. The venue, designed to complement the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, would host about 125 events annually, with a focus on intimate concert experiences. The project, still in early stages, seeks community input to shape its development, with plans for programming that includes pop, rock, film scores, and modern performances. Design firm Populous has been hired for the project, which aims to create a harmonious and compatible space with the neighborhood.
