Mo. teen injured after car travels down an embankment

HARRISON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after noon Sunday in Harrison County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1998 Honda Civic driven by an 18-year-old Albany woman was northbound on Route ZZ three and one half miles south of New Hampton.  The driver failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The car traveled off the west side of the road, traveled down a steep embankment and struck a ditch.

A private vehicle transported the driver to Mosaic in Albany. She was properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
