ANDREW COUNTY—A Missouri woman died and a man was arrested after an accident that occurred just before 11p.m. Wednesday in Andrew County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Polaris RRZ driven by Mickey L. Messick, 51, Oregon, Missouri, was traveling southwest on on CR 396 two miles southwest of Amazonia. The vehicle traveled off the west side of the road, struck the ground and rolled.
Andrew County EMS transported a 41-year-old Savannah woman, a passenger on the UTV, to Mosaic Life Care where she was pronounced deceased. Messick refused medical treatment and he was later arrested on requested charges of Felony DWI involving the death of another and failure to driver on the right half of the roadway when roadway was of sufficient width resulting in an accident.
The Patrol did not release the name of the woman who died.
