Special Meeting Clears Jo Anna Marriott of Misappropriation Rumors

Burlington Junction City Administrator Jo Anna Marriott was defended by the Board of Aldermen during a special meeting called to address rumors of misappropriated funds. The emergency meeting was held in response to allegations made against Marriott by two board members. The board unanimously supported Marriott’s integrity, with each member stating that she was not guilty of mishandling city funds. The meeting was attended by nearly 20 people, and Mayor Jim Johansen directed questions to Marriott during the discussion.
