Missouri woman injured after I-29 rear-end crash

ANDREW COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 8p.m. Friday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2015 GMC Yukon driven by a 64-year-old Mound City woman was northbound on Interstate 29 four miles north of Country Club. The SUV rear-ended a 1998 Ford Mustang that broke down and partially blocking the passing lane of I-29. After impact the SUV traveled off the west side of the road and struck a guard rail.

Andrew County EMS transported a 56-year-old passenger from SUV to Mosaic Life Care. She had not been wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
