Nodaway County U.S. Route 71 intersection improvement project begins Monday

An intersection improvement project on Nodaway County U.S. Route 71 will begin Monday, with contractors replacing the 340th intersection with J-turns. U.S. Route 71 will be narrowed to one lane, but access to 340th Street will remain open. The project, conducted by Leavenworth Excavating & Equipment Company, Inc. in collaboration with the Missouri Department of Transportation, is expected to be finished by early November 2026.
