On July 5th, 2026, an emergency aircraft landing occurred in rural Richardson County near the intersection of 652 Avenue and 714 Road. The Richardson County Sheriff’s Office, along with other emergency responders, arrived at the scene where a single-engine Cessna aircraft had made a successful emergency landing due to an engine failure. Two occupants were on board but were uninjured. The aircraft was moved off the county road to private property for investigation by federal aviation authorities. Normal traffic resumed after the incident, and the Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to all assisting personnel.
