Speed Limit Could Jump to 75 MPH on Missouri Highways as Bill Advances

A bill to raise the speed limit on Missouri rural highways from 70 to 75 miles per hour has been approved by the Missouri Senate and is now heading to the House of Representatives. Sponsored by Sen. Jamie Burger, the bill, SB 1408, aims to increase the maximum speed limit on rural interstates and freeways. The bill has had two readings in the House and is currently progressing through the Transportation, Infrastructure, and Public Safety Committee.
