The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted Herzog Contracting Corp. to replace the approaches to two bridges and resurface a section of Interstate 29 in Buchanan County. Work is set to begin on April 6, with crews starting at Pigeon Creek and Bee Creek approaches before moving to the bridges. The resurfacing of I-29 is scheduled to start in August 2026, with the project expected to be completed by mid-October 2026. Motorists should anticipate delays as I-29 will be narrowed to one lane with an 11-foot width restriction during construction.
