City looks at water rate increases for treatment plant

The Maryville City Council is considering raising water rates to fund the construction of a new water treatment plant at the site of the current facility built in 1958. Construction on the new ozone and biological active filtration plant could start in May and be completed by October 2028. The council discussed various rate increase options during a special meeting to ensure the city’s water infrastructure is maintained for the future.
