The 69 Express project in Johnson County, Kansas, will open its toll lanes on Feb. 21, with prices varying between 35 cents and $1.50 for K-TAG users. Drivers billed via license plate will pay 50% more than the listed price. The Kansas Turnpike Authority processes K-TAG transactions quickly, leading to lower costs for users. Other states with toll tags, like Texas, will also be charged the K-TAG price in the express lanes. Plans are in place to expand the tolling partnership to include more states.
