PLATTE COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 1a.m. Tuesday in Platte County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Chevy Sonic driven by a Kansas City, Missouri, man was northbound on Interstate 29 at the 11.8 mile marker. The vehicle began skidding, traveled off the right side of the road and struck a concrete barrier. A 2012 Jeep Liberty driven by a 20-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man struck the drivers side of the Chevy.
KC Fire transported a female passenger in the Chevy to North Kansas City Hospital. The drivers were not injured. The female passenger was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
