BUCHANAN COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 8a.m. Saturday in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2025 Ram 2500 driven by a 61-year-old Faucett man was northbound on Interstate 229 near the Andrew County line. The driver began braking to avoid a collision with another vehicle. The pickup began to slide, traveled off the east side of the road and down a steep embankment. The pickup struck several trees and cam to rest in a creek.
Andrew County EMS transported the driver and a 67-year-old passenger to Mosaic Life Care. The passenger was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
