The 2000 Maryville Golf State Championship team, coached by Pat Turner, achieved perfection with an 11-0 record on their way to winning the Class 2 state title.
The team, consisting of Jesmin Ehlers, Brian Prokes, Nick Thompson, Trent Twaddle, and Matt Van Cleave, is now immortalized in the Spoofhound Hall of Fame. Van Cleave, who was also the individual state champion that season, and Twaddle were standout performers on the team.
This achievement marks a rare instance of a sports team achieving perfection in their season.
