It will not be a white Christmas in the Midland Empire.
Meteorologist Dan Holiday says to expect temperatures to be in the low to mid 60s. “The computer models are showing we should be somewhere around 62 degrees Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day its going to be closer to 64 degrees.”
Holiday says travel should not be impacted by the weather. Travelers heading to Southeast Kansas or Central and Southern Missouri could see temperatures closer to 70 degrees.
The warmer weather is expected to last through at least mid-January, however, Holiday notes, “If you get beyond fourteen days, there are just things that can upend the long-range forecast, but for now we can expect well above average temperatures and below-average precipitation.”
