Paddlefish licenses and tags for the Missouri and Big Sioux Rivers season, starting February 1st, are now on sale.
The DNR’s Southwest Iowa fisheries biologist, John Lorenzen, notes that 950 resident and 50 nonresident tags are available. Individuals may purchase up to two tags through December 31st, with a potential third tag becoming available afterward if any remain.
The paddlefish license costs $25.50 for residents and $49.00 for nonresidents, and a valid Iowa fishing license is mandatory for purchase.
