The mild weather will be quickly replaced by a potent system moving in Tuesday evening.
Winds are forecast to reach up to 50 miles per hour, creating significant blowing and drifting snow from the snow already on the ground. This surge of high wind and snow could lead to whiteout or even blizzard conditions.
The National Weather service reports there is also the potential for quick snow showers to drop up to one inch of new snow, further reducing visibility and making travel extremely hazardous.
