Two candidates from Odebolt are running in Tuesday’s special election for an open seat in the Iowa House.
The vacancy was created in September when Republican Rep. Mike Sexton of Rockwell City resigned after President Trump appointed him state director for the USDA Rural Development.
The district covers Calhoun, Pocahontas and Sac counties and part of Webster County, west of Fort Dodge.
The candidates are Republican Wendy Larson and Democrat Rachel Burns.
