2 Missouri 16-year-olds injured after car rolls into a field

HOLT COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just after 9a.m. Sunday in Holt County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Pontiac G6 driven by a 16-year-old Tarkio girl was northbound on U.S. 59 one half mile north of Craig. The car traveled off the east side of the road. The driver overcorrected and the car skidded down an embankment and rolled into a field.

Atchison Holt ambulance transported the driver and a 16-year-old female. passenger to Fairfax Community Hospital. The passenger was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.  The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
